First Rubber TPC is a multifunctional rubber additive that combines non‑staining antioxidant and secondary accelerator properties. It effectively protects rubber compounds from thermal‑oxidative and ozone aging, while also accelerating vulcanization when used alongside primary accelerators. TPC is particularly valued for its ability to prevent bloom (surface exudation) on finished products, ensuring a clean, aesthetic appearance. It is compatible with natural rubber (NR), styrene‑butadiene rubber (SBR), butadiene rubber (BR), acrylonitrile‑butadiene rubber (NBR), and ethylene‑propylene‑diene rubber (EPDM). Typical applications include high‑quality footwear, technical rubber goods, belts, hoses, and light‑colored tire sidewalls.
Product Categories: Antioxidant
  • Chemical composition: Special ether and acetal compounds of alkene double bonds
  • Complex carrier: EPDM
  • Characteristics: It is a highly effective rubber-specific antioxidant, suitable for both natural and synthetic rubbers. This product effectively inhibits ozone aging and thermo-oxidative degradation under harsh, humid, and high-temperature conditions—particularly preventing rubber products from "blooming" or turning white. It is colorless, non-migratory, non-polluting, non-toxic, low-odor, and easily dispersible. Importantly, it addresses the common drawbacks of existing antioxidants used in light-colored products, such as their limited effectiveness and tendency to cause contamination.

  • Product Description
  • Two common headaches in rubber compounding: surface blooming (white exudate) over time, and short scorch time during processing. TPC helps with both.

TPC is a multifunctional rubber additive that acts as both a non‑staining antioxidant and a secondary accelerator. It is not a single chemical but a blend of substituted diphenylamines and synergists. In natural and synthetic rubber, the effect is straightforward: moderate cure speed, good scorch safety, and — importantly — no blooming on the finished surface. Its real strength is ozone resistance and anti‑blooming performance.

Used alone or together with TPM, it significantly improves the surface stability of light‑coloured rubber goods. Manufacturers of white shoe soles, coloured sheets, and sports equipment often struggle with whitening surfaces after storage. TPC works well in those applications. As a secondary accelerator, it works alongside primary accelerators (e.g., MBTS, CBS) to fine‑tune cure speed without compromising final mechanical properties. Typical dosage: 0.5–2.5 phr as an antioxidant, or 0.5–1.5 phr as a secondary accelerator.

TPC is non‑staining and non‑discoloring, and REACH‑relevant substances have been screened. It is not a product that dramatically boosts performance — but it is the kind of reliable choice that keeps your formulation out of trouble.
