First Rubber CTP-80 is a pre-dispersed anti-scorching agent masterbatch (PVI-80) with 80% N-cyclohexylthiophthalimide. It delays premature vulcanization during mixing and processing without affecting final cure time. Compatible with sulfenamide (CBS, TBBS) and thiazole (MBT, MBTS) accelerators. Dust-free granules improve safety and dispersion. Non-staining, suitable for NR, SBR, NBR, EPDM
Product Categories: Anti Scorching agent
  • Chemical composition: N-Cyclohexylthiophthalimide
  • Complex carrier: EPDM/SBR
  • Characteristics: It is a high temperature effective anti-scorch agent suitable for natural rubber, synthetic rubber and rubber with multiple vulcanization promotion systems (especially EPDM); it can effectively prevent the rubber compound from scorching ahead of time during processing and storage, and can greatly improve the safety of operation; compared with CTP, E/Chas better anti-scorch effect at high temperature, less dosage and lower odor, and does not produce nitrosamines during vulcanization. It is especially suitable for rapid vulcanization at high temperature.

  • Product Description
  •

What is the worst thing that can happen during high‑temperature summer mixing? Scorch — the compound starts curing before it even reaches the extruder. A whole batch goes to waste, and the machine has to be cleaned. CTP-80 is designed to prevent exactly that.

Its chemical name is N‑cyclohexylthiophthalimide, with 80% active content, pre‑dispersed on an EPDM/SBR carrier as granules. It does not participate in vulcanisation, but it puts on the brakes — delaying scorch time and giving you a much wider processing window.

It works best with sulfenamide (CBS, TBBS) and thiazole (MBT, MBTS) accelerators. Typical usage is very low — 0.1–0.5 phr — but the improvement in processing safety is substantial. Mixed compounds can sit on the shop floor for days and still be perfectly usable.

One lesser‑known benefit: if a compound has already been overheated and shows signs of scorching, CTP-80 can partially "revive" it. Not magic, but it can reduce waste.

CTP-80 is non‑staining and non‑discoloring, so it works even for light‑coloured goods. The granule form is dust‑free and much easier to handle than powder CTP.

If your line runs hot and fast, or if you produce thick parts or complex mouldings, CTP-80 is a very cost‑effective insurance policy.
