First Rubber CTP-80 is a pre-dispersed anti-scorching agent masterbatch (PVI-80) with 80% N-cyclohexylthiophthalimide. It delays premature vulcanization during mixing and processing without affecting final cure time. Compatible with sulfenamide (CBS, TBBS) and thiazole (MBT, MBTS) accelerators. Dust-free granules improve safety and dispersion. Non-staining, suitable for NR, SBR, NBR, EPDM

- Chemical composition: N-Cyclohexylthiophthalimide
- Complex carrier: EPDM/SBR
- Characteristics: It is a high temperature effective anti-scorch agent suitable for natural rubber, synthetic rubber and rubber with multiple vulcanization promotion systems (especially EPDM); it can effectively prevent the rubber compound from scorching ahead of time during processing and storage, and can greatly improve the safety of operation; compared with CTP, E/Chas better anti-scorch effect at high temperature, less dosage and lower odor, and does not produce nitrosamines during vulcanization. It is especially suitable for rapid vulcanization at high temperature.

一、Applications:
First Rubber CTP-80 is widely used as a processing safety additive across the rubber industry. It is compatible with natural rubber (NR) and all sulfur-cured synthetic rubbers, including SBR, BR, NBR, and EPDM. Typical applications include: - Tire manufacturing: Prevents scorch during high-speed mixing and extrusion of tire compounds, ensuring consistent quality and improving production efficiency. As tires account for 60% to 65% of the global CTP market, this is the primary application area. - Industrial rubber goods: Hoses, conveyor belts, seals, gaskets, and vibration dampers where processing safety and storage stability are critical. - Footwear: Rubber sole compounds, particularly those using sulfenamide- or thiazole-based accelerator systems. - Molded and extruded rubber parts: Technical rubber components requiring complex molding or high-temperature processing. - Reclaim and scorched rubber recovery: CTP-80 exhibits a revitalizing effect on rubber compounds that have already been exposed to high temperatures during handling or storage, allowing otherwise unusable material to be reprocessed.
二、Technical Advantages:
CTP-80 offers a unique set of performance advantages that position it as the industry standard for scorch retardation: 1. Prevents Premature Vulcanization – Delays the onset of vulcanization during mixing, calendering, extrusion, and storage without significantly affecting the total cure time or final vulcanizate properties. This makes high-temperature, high-speed processing possible, increasing the production capacity of calenders and extruders. 2. Exceptional Compatibility – Works seamlessly with most accelerator systems, particularly sulfenamides (CBS, TBBS) and thiazoles (MBT, MBTS), which are the most widely used cure systems in tire and industrial rubber applications. 3. Enhances Storage Stability – Significantly improves the storage stability of unvulcanized rubber compounds, allowing longer inventory periods and reducing scrap rates due to premature curing. 4. Revitalizing Effect – Exhibits a unique revitalizing effect on compounds that have already been subjected to high temperatures due to seasonal variations, handling, or improper operation, or on materials at risk of scorching—extending the usable life of otherwise wasted rubber compound. 5. Non-Staining and Non-Discoloring – Does not cause staining or discoloration, even on light-colored rubber goods, making it suitable for a broad range of applications where aesthetics are important. 6. Improved Safety and Handling – As a pre-dispersed masterbatch, CTP-80 eliminates the dust and unpleasant odor associated with powder CTP, protecting worker health and enabling precise, automated feeding. The low Mooney viscosity at moderate temperatures (e.g., 50°C) ensures better dispersion in the rubber compound, and the granulated form remains non-tacky at room temperature, reducing waste and improving production efficiency.
