AC3000‑75 is a high‑output, general‑purpose chemical blowing agent for rubber and plastics. It delivers high gas yield (210–225 ml/g), stable cell formation, and a broad processing window. Compatible with PE, EVA, PVC, PS, EPDM, NBR, and SBR. Can be activated with zinc oxide for lower‑temperature processes. Dust‑free EPDM granules for easy handling. Ideal for EPDM seals, EVA midsoles, PVC boards, wire insulation, packaging sheets, and sports equipment.
Product Categories: Blowing agent
  • Chemical composition: Azodicarbonamide
  • Complex carrier: EPDM
  • Characteristics: Commonly used general-purpose high-temperature blowing agents, widely applied in the foaming of rubber and plastics such as PE, PS, EVA, PVC, and rubber-plastic foam products. They decompose at temperatures between 200–210°C and deliver a gas yield of 210–225 ml/g. These agents are extensively utilized in rubber sealing strips, sports equipment, insulation materials, and footwear components.

  • Product Description
  • Whether you need a general‑purpose rubber blowing agent for EPDM sponge profiles or an economical chemical blowing agent for plastics for EVA midsoles and PVC boards, AC3000‑75 delivers high gas yield (210–225 ml/g) and stable cell formation across a wide processing window.

AC3000‑75 Foaming Process: From Foam Blowing to High‑Quality Blown Foam

    Thermal Initiation
At 200–210°C, AC3000‑75 decomposes exothermically, initiating the foam blowing process. The released heat helps maintain melt temperature in thick‑section parts. The decomposition temperature can be lowered to around 170°C by adding zinc oxide (ZnO).

    Nucleation
Generates a large volume of nitrogen (with minor CO/CO₂), forming dense bubble nuclei – this is the critical first step of foam blowing to achieve fine, uniform cells.

    Cell Growth
Gas continues to release as decomposition proceeds, cells expand evenly, and foam blowingenters the stable growth stage. The high gas yield (210–225 ml/g) provides ample expansion power.

    Cell Stabilization
Upon cooling, a closed‑cell blown foam is formed, with fine cells and a white, non‑staining residue suitable for most standard‑grade products.

    Advantages

High gas yield (210–225 ml/g) for efficient cell expansion

Broad processing window (200–210°C) with stable decomposition

Exothermic decomposition helps thick‑section foam integrity

Process aid for  PE, EVA, PVC, PS, EPDM, NBR, SBR

Activatable with zinc oxide for lower‑temperature processes

Dust‑free EPDM‑carrier granules for easy handling and dispersion

    Applications

    Rubber seals (EPDM/NBR/SBR sponge profiles)
AC3000‑75 creates uniform, fine‑celled sponge seals with balanced density and good compression set – widely used in automotive weatherstrips.

    EVA foam midsoles and slippers
AC3000‑75 generates stable, uniform cells in EVA compounds, producing lightweight sports midsoles and casual slippers with consistent resilience.

    PVC foam boards and wallpapers
AC3000‑75 enables closed‑cell PVC foam boards and wallpapers with smooth surfaces, light weight, and stable color.

    Wire and cable foamed insulation
AC3000‑75 helps produce fine‑cell foamed insulation for wires and cables, improving dielectric performance and reducing weight.

    Foamed packaging for industrial goods
AC3000‑75 delivers cost‑effective, clean‑cell foamed packaging for protective transit applications, including EPE and XPE sheets.

    Sports equipment and insulation materials
AC3000‑75 is widely used in foam pads, yoga mats, roller blocks, and thermal insulation sheets where fine‑cell structure is required.
