  • Product Description
  • 一、Applications:

First Rubber S-80 is a versatile sulfur vulcanizing agent masterbatch widely used across the rubber industry. It is compatible with natural rubber (NR) and most synthetic rubbers, including SBR, BR, NBR, and EPDM. Typical applications include:

    - Tires: Passenger car tires, truck tires, motorcycle tires, and agricultural/industrial tires.
    - Industrial rubber goods: Hoses, conveyor belts, transmission belts, seals, and gaskets.
    - Footwear: Rubber shoe soles, especially light-colored and colored compounds where sulfur blooming must be avoided.
    - EVA and foam compounds: Soft rubber compounds requiring excellent sulfur dispersion.
    - Latex products: Used as a curing agent in latex dipping applications.
    - Technical rubber parts: Molded and extruded components demanding consistent curing and defect-free surfaces.

    二、Technical Advantages:

S-80 delivers critical advantages over conventional powdered sulfur:

    1. Excellent Dispersion – The pre-dispersed masterbatch form ensures sulfur is uniformly distributed throughout the rubber compound, preventing localized sulfur concentration that can lead to over-cure and surface defects. This is especially critical for soft rubber compounds where powdered sulfur is difficult to disperse evenly.

    2. Prevents Sulfur Blooming – By eliminating sulfur agglomerates, S-80 prevents the migration of sulfur to the product surface, which appears as a brownish-white haze (bloom). This is essential for light-colored and aesthetic rubber goods where surface appearance matters.

    3. Dust-Free & Safe Processing – As free-flowing granules, S-80 eliminates airborne sulfur dust, improving workplace safety, reducing fire/explosion hazards, and preventing material loss. The granules are tack-free at room temperature, enabling accurate automated weighing.

    4. Consistent Vulcanization – Uniform dispersion ensures consistent crosslink density across the entire rubber article, resulting in stable mechanical properties, better aging resistance, and improved dynamic fatigue performance.

    5. Faster Mixing & Lower Energy – S-80 incorporates rapidly into rubber compounds, shortening mixing cycles and reducing energy consumption compared to powder sulfur, which requires longer mixing to achieve adequate dispersion.

    6. Reduces Scrap & Increases Productivity – By eliminating sulfur spots, blooming, and cure inconsistencies, S-80 reduces defect rates and improves production yield, especially in high-volume applications like tire and shoe sole manufacturing.

    三、Packaging & Storage:

    Packaging
Supplied in 25 kg multi-wall cartons or paper bags with inner PE liner, suitable for manual or automatic handling.

    Storage & Handling
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources. Keep packaging sealed when not in use. Under recommended storage conditions (below 30°C, <70% relative humidity), the product remains stable for 12 months from the date of manufacture. Avoid contact with strong oxidizers and reducing agents.

    Safety Note
S-80 is a granulated sulfur masterbatch with significantly reduced dust compared to powder sulfur, but standard safety precautions for sulfur handling should still be observed. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available upon request.
