Yellowing ruining your white or light‑colored rubber exports? First® MAC‑1489 is a high‑efficiency anti‑yellowing accelerator masterbatch. Delivers yellowing resistance grade 4.0–5.0, moderate cure speed, excellent scorch safety (3–5 days storage), non‑staining. Perfect for shoe soles, sidewalls, seals, toys.
Product Categories: Accelerator Comprehensive Promoter
  • Chemical composition: Environmentally friendly, highly efficient promoter without a thiazole structure
  • Complex carrier: EPDM/SBR
  • Characteristics: A comprehensive eco-friendly accelerator suitable for NR, SBR, BR, EPDM, IIR, and other rubbers; it can be used as the primary accelerator on its own or combined with small amounts of TBzTD-75, ZBEC-75, ZDTP-50, and other components to create an environmentally friendly vulcanization system. This system delivers rapid curing speeds while completely eliminating the thiourea structure, ensuring a non-bitter taste. Importantly, no nitrosamine carcinogens are produced during the vulcanization process. During storage, the product may gradually change from pale yellow to gray, though it remains non-staining to rubber.

  • Product Description
  • Pain point you may have faced
Your customers are demanding cleaner, safer rubber goods – no bitter taste on mouthpieces, no nitrosamine risk, and full compliance with REACH. But many “green” accelerators cure too slowly, or they require complex multi‑component systems that are hard to control. You have tried thiourea‑free accelerators, but some still leave an unpleasant taste or discolor the final product.

    Why MAC‑3108 is different
First® MAC‑3108 is a comprehensive eco‑friendly accelerator designed for NR, SBR, BR, EPDM, IIR, and other general rubbers. It can be used as the primary accelerator alone, or blended with small amounts of TBzTD‑75, ZBEC‑75, or ZDTP‑50 to build a fully nitrosamine‑free vulcanization system. The chemistry contains no thiourea structure, which means no bitter taste – critical for mouthpieces, toys, or any rubber part that comes into contact with the mouth.

    What you gain

Fast curing speed – no compromise on productivity.

No nitrosamine carcinogens – safe for the workplace and for export to regulated markets.

Non‑staining – even if the granules gradually change from pale yellow to gray during storage, they will not stain the rubber compound.

Flexible formulation – works as a stand‑alone accelerator or as part of a synergistic blend.

    Real‑world result
An EPDM automotive sealing strip manufacturer had to pass a strict odor and nitrosamine test from a German OEM. They switched to MAC‑3108 at 1.2 phr as the main accelerator, with a small amount of TBzTD‑75. The cure curve remained fast and flat, the finished seals had no detectable taste, and they passed the REACH audit without any additional testing.
