Product Categories: Anti-scorch agent
  • Chemical composition: N-Phenyl-N-[(trichloromethyl)thio]benzenesulfonamide
  • Complex carrier: EPDM/EVM
  • Characteristics: An effective high-temperature anti-scorch agent suitable for natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and various vulcanization accelerator systems—including, in particular, EPDM—this product effectively prevents premature scorching during the mixing and storage processes, significantly enhancing operational safety. Compared to CTP, E/C offers superior high-temperature anti-scorch performance with lower dosages, reduced odor, and no formation of nitrosamines during vulcanization. It is especially ideal for applications requiring fast vulcanization at elevated temperatures.

  • Product Description
  • FST EC-80GE
    Anti-scorch agent
    Ingredients: N-Phenyl-N-(3-chloromercapto)-benzenesulfonamide and EPDM
    Appearance: Pale yellow granules
    Density (g/cm³): 1.28 ± 0.04
    Mooney viscosity, ML (1+4) at 50°C: 40 ± 10
    Packaging: 25 kg/carton
Shelf Life: Store in a cool, dry place for up to 12 months.
    Applications:
    1. FST EC-80GE is a scorch inhibitor for natural and synthetic rubbers, particularly suitable for EPDM, NBR, and HNBR. It significantly extends the scorch time without affecting the vulcanization rate.
    2. FST EC-80GE enhances the storage stability of rubber compounds, preventing natural vulcanization from occurring during extended periods of storage.
    3. FST EC-80GE is particularly suitable for use with thiazole accelerators and can serve as a secondary accelerator in thiuram vulcanization systems, helping to reduce curing time and boost production efficiency.
    4. FST EC-80GE is non-polluting, does not cause discoloration, and produces no carcinogenic nitrosamines harmful to human health during the vulcanization process.
    5. FST EC-80GE significantly enhances the vulcanization crosslink density of EPDM and NBR compounds, increasing the stress at a given strain while reducing permanent compression set.
    6. FST EC-80GE has a regenerative effect on rubber compounds that have already undergone high-temperature treatment or are at risk of scorching.
Usage: Add to the mixing section before blending.
    Suggested dosage: 0.1–1.0 phr.
