Pain point you may have experienced
Your internal mixer runs hot. To avoid scorch, you have to slow down the batch cycle – but that kills your throughput. The compound sticks poorly to the mill roll, extruded profiles come out with rough surfaces or die swell, and the reject pile keeps growing. You have tried process oils or waxes, but they either delay cure or leach out over time.

Why LF34 is different
First® LF34 is a zinc‑free multifunctional flow dispersant designed for NR, SBR, BR, NBR, EPDM and other general rubbers. It is a synergistic blend of advanced fatty acids, esters, soap salts and waxes. Instead of just lubricating, it actively modifies the viscoelastic behavior of the compound.

Add LF34 during the internal mixing stage. You will see the Mooney viscosity drop immediately – the raw rubber flows more easily. The batch temperature stays lower even at higher rotor speeds, so you can shorten the mixing cycle without risking scorch. Because it lowers energy consumption, your mixer draws fewer amps per batch.

Real‑world result
A manufacturer of EPDM automotive weatherstrips switched from a conventional processing aid to First® LF34 at 2 phr. Their extrusion line speed increased by 18% because die swell became predictable. Surface defects dropped by two‑thirds, and the reject rate fell from 4.5% to 1.2%. They also noticed that the injection molding machine could run with shorter backpressure time.
