Auxiliary Feeding System for Rubber Additives
How our granulator turns powder into performance
The granulator is the heart of our pre‑dispersed masterbatch production line. It takes a dry powder blend – typically rubber additives (accelerators, antioxidants, zinc oxide) mixed with an EPDM or EVA carrier – and mechanically compresses it into cylindrical or spherical granules.
The process: The powder mixture is fed into a rotating die plate. As the plate turns, a set of rollers presses the powder through the die holes, forming continuous strands. A rotating knife then cuts the strands into uniform granules, typically 0.8–2.0 mm in diameter.
Why granulation matters: Powdered additives are dusty, difficult to handle, and prone to segregation. Granulated masterbatch flows freely, eliminates airborne dust, and ensures accurate automatic feeding. For our customers, this translates to cleaner workshops, fewer weighing errors, and faster dispersion in rubber compounds.
Quality controls: Our granulator operates under consistent temperature and pressure to protect heat‑sensitive accelerators from degradation. Between product batches, the machine is thoroughly cleaned to prevent cross‑contamination. Regular knife and die maintenance guarantees uniform granule size – batch after batch.
