Light‑colored or transparent rubber goods often turn yellow or hazy over time. The issue is frequently traced back to the zinc oxide. Conventional zinc oxide has large particles and low activity, so you have to add more to achieve the desired cure — which leads to opacity, poor transparency and sometimes blooming. ZnO-N50GE uses nano‑grade zinc oxide pre‑dispersed in an EPDM carrier. The benefits are straightforward: much higher activity, lower dosage, better transparency, and a dust‑free shop floor. The nano particle size gives you a much higher specific surface area. That means you can reach the same crosslink density with significantly less zinc oxide. In practice, users typically reduce their conventional zinc oxide dosage by 30‑50% while maintaining — or even improving — cure speed and mechanical properties. The EPDM carrier ensures even dispersion, so you avoid local overcure or surface defects. The granule form also eliminates the moisture‑caking issues that plague powder zinc oxide. It meters more accurately and mixes more consistently. If you produce premium shoe soles, light‑colored tire sidewalls, transparent hoses, or EVA foams, ZnO‑N50GE is a particularly good fit.
